About Me- Professionally speaking....
After living in Missouri and Florida in my early life, I grew up in Clemmons, NC- a short 30 minute drive from East Middle.  I attended Elon University as a NC Teaching Fellow and received a BA in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in  English/Language Arts and Social Studies as well as a High School Education Degree in History.  In my 18 years of teaching, I have done a lot of traveling and moving! I have taught in Forsyth County, Wake County, Charlotte- Meck and Iredell County Schools.  I recieved my AIG Licensure in 2005.  After 2 years as AIG Specialist for East Middle, I was an Instructional Facilitator for three years.  I am thrilled to return to the classroom with LOTS of resouces to make EACH of my students successful.  I am currently working on my master's degree in Library and Media Science.
About Me- Personally speaking....
I love to read almost anything; I find myself reading the cereal box at breakfast, on busses, in the doctor's office, anywhere!  I also like to travel.  I have been privileged to study abroad in Europe and would love to travel more in the U.S.  My big love is Carolina basketball.  As a child, Dean Smith was my hero, and I thought he actually was the "Dean" of the whole university.  I still follow ACC basketball closely; my daughter MacKenzie and I love to curl up and watch basketball with a bowl of popcorn on winter nights!
