Welcome to my website.  You will find information regarding the theatre classes.

 

My mission is to teach all students to become successful and productive community members by instilling in them the desire to learn and discover new things about themselves and the world.

 

I hold an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Catawba Valley Technical Institute, a Theatre Arts Endorsement from Appalachian State University,  Bachelor of Arts degrees in Secondary Education (English) and Middle School (Language Arts) from Lenoir Rhyne College, and a Master of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  I also hold licensure for the Academically and Intellectually Gifted. 

 

This is my 28th year at West Iredell High School.  I began the theatre program here

and have enjoyed directing many successful productions.  We hold charter membership as Troupe 3862 in The International Thespian Society, an academic organization that promotes excellence in secondary theatre by rewarding students for participation in the performing arts.   In 2004, our troupe was invited to perform at the International Thespian Festival on the campus of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.  We are also active participants in the North Carolina Theatre Conference and its annual high school theatre competition.
