Welcome to the Statesville High School English as a Second Language program!

 

Our mission in the English as a Second Language class is to learn to Read, Write, Speak and Understand spoken English like American students so we can be successful students and productive members of society. 

 

We will do this by respecting each other and the teacher, helping each other learn, and following class rules so the classroom is a comfortable place for all students to learn.  Also, we will use English regularly in class so we can be more proficient in the English Language. 

 

I have been teaching English as a Second Laugage at Statesville High School since the 2003-2004 school year.  I am certified to teach ESL, French and Art.

 

I am from Northeastern Ohio and a graduate of the University of Akron where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, a Bachelor's degree in French and a Minor in Art.  I earned a licnese to teach English as a Second Language from North Carolina State University.
