The mission of East Iredell Middle Student Services is to partner with parents, community, faculty and staff to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students, preparing them with the knowledge and skills to be productive members of society.

I have worked in public schools SC, NC and WA as a teacher, counselor, consultant and administrator, as well as in public mental health since 1971.
I hold a Ph. D. in Child and Family Development and Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Georgia, a Master's Degree in Child Development from Winthrop University, and a BA in Psychology from St. Andrews Presbyterian College. I am licensed as a School Counselor and a Marriage and Family Therapist in NC.  In addition, I am adjunct graduate faculty for Gardner-Webb University's counseling program.

I love playing with my three grandchildren, singing in my church choir, reading good mysteries, directing plays, and traveling when I get the chance.
