I was born in Cleveland County and was raised in Lincoln County.  I am the youngest of five children of which four are educators.  I have an AB degree in Mathematics from Lenior Rhyne University, a Masters of Art in Teaching from Winthrop University and an Education Specialist Degree from Appalachian State University.  I am in my thirty-fourth year and enjoy working with students.

 

I have twin daughters who are also involved in education.  One works in the Public Relations office here in Iredell-Statesville Schools and the other teaches English in Lincoln County.  Two of my hobbies include collecting M & M dispensers and home improvement projects.
