About Me
Prior to beginning my work in the school system in March of '06 I spent 14 years in the counseling field and continue to maintain a part-time private practice in Mooresville. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, and Licensed School Counselor with a Masters in Counseling. I also have additional education and training in trauma based therapy and specialize in family and adolescent therapy.
My wife is also in education, teaching elementary aged students in a private setting. I have two high school aged boys and a daughter in middle school. My family's involvement in the educational system provides me with several reminders of the importance of collaboration among the students, parents, and staff. I believe strongly that family and community relationships provide the primary foundation for our youth, and that the educational system can play a vital role in supporting this foundation.
