Welcome to Mr. Frye's website. This site contains important information and resources for Physical Science and Earth/Environmental Science classes. The 2012-2013 school year promises to be one of challenges and opportunities. On this web site you will find a variety of keys to success in my class. Essentially, we follow the curriculum and objectives from the NC Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI), Common Core State and North Carolina Essential Standards. Each class meets a graduation requirement specified by the NC Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and is necessary to receive a NC High School Diploma. Students are provided with summarized content covered.

 

Physical Science - Our mission is to learn and understand Physical Science by developing and increasing our knowledge of Physics and Chemistry. We will do this by meeting the requirements of the Common Core State and North Carolina Essential Standards. We will accomplish our mission by completing our work, studying and reviewing, paying attention, asking for help, keeping up with assignments, preparing for tests, and participating.

 

Earth Science - Our mission is to learn and understand Earth and Environmental Science by developing and increasing our knowledge of Earth's structure and composition, Earth's processes, and the effect of people on those processes by following the requirements of the Common Core State and North Carolina Essential Standards. We will accomplish our mission by focusing on our Essential Knowledge Elements, completing assignments, paying attention, participating, and preparing for assessments.
