My Classroom Mission
I will strive daily to foster student enjoyment of science, as well as help all students develop into critical thinkers and problem solvers. This will be accomplished via lectures, laboratory work, cooperative activities and guided learning.
For the past 17 years, I have been fortunate to teach science in both New York and North Carolina. I have BS and MS degrees in Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Science, as well as Secondary Education. Prior to my teaching career, I worked as an Environmental Scientist for seven years in New York.
I have taught at both the middle school and high school levels, and instructed several different courses: Earth Science, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science and General Science. For the 2012-2013 school year, I am delighted to be teaching Earth and Environmental Science in the Freshman Academy.
