My Classroom Mission

In Physical Education we will strengthen our bodies and minds as we study the benefits of healthy habits.  We will have fun learning by trying our best as we participate in various exercises, games and sports.  We will make our class a safer and more pleasant experience by wearing appropriate clothing, listening, following instructions, working cooperatively and showing respect for others, ourselves and our equipment.  And, we will strive to make being active a part of our daily routine now and throughout our lifetime.
 
About Me
 
I was born and still live in Statesville.  During my early learning I attended Sharon Elementary, West Iredell Middle and graduated from West Iredell High School in 1999.  While at West Iredell, I participated in football, basketball and tennis.  I was selected to play in the 1999 East-West All Star Football Game and played for the West team.
 
I am a 2003 graduate of Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, NC were I received my B.A. degree in Physical Education.  While at Mars Hill, I played Offensive Line for the Lion football team and was a four year letter winner. 
 
This 2012-2013 school year will be my 10th year teaching in the Iredell/Statesville School System.  I am in my 4th year teaching here at Lake Norman.  I teach 9th Grade Health/PE and Weight Training.
 
 
I am the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks coach for the football team.  I spent seven years as the Defensive Line Coach and my first year at Lake Norman was the Offensive Line Coach.  I served as the Varsity Defensive Coordinator for 2 years prior to becoming the Offensive Coordinator.  I am also the Head Indoor Track Coach in the Winter and am the Head Womens Track Coach in Spring and while coaching  the sprinters and hurdlers.
