My Classroom Mission
The agriculture program at Lake Norman High School has a mission of student success by making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success.
I grew up in Iredell and nearby Rowan County, then headed to Raleigh after high school where I obtained a degree in Agricultural Education in the College of Agriculture at NC State University. I also have a minor in Horticulture and Poultry Science. I finished my Masters in Agricultural Education at North Carolina A & T University in December of 2009. After graduating at NC State, I was able to move back home and work at Lake Norman High School as an agriculture teacher. Most recently, I became a National Board Certified Teacher. I have been a student for 25 years!!! Learning never ends!
I am blessed with a wonderful family. I've been married to my wonderful husband, Addison for 4 years now & we have a little boy who makes each day even better than we thought it could be. We enjoy spending time together outdoors. We love to work in our garden, fish and hunt together and travel when time permits, but most of all, we just enjoy the simple things in life like family.
