Welcome to Fifth Grade!
Welcome! This will be an exciting year for you as you prepare for next year's entrance into middle school. As a fifth grader, you will be switching classes for both reading and math. This means you could have as many as three different teachers. As a result, you will find increasing independence and high expectations. These challenges will require greater effort and greater responsibilty on your part.
As the year progresses, you will encounter new goals, new information, new teaching styles, and new challenges. I look forward to working with you and helping you to achieve your personal best this year!
Classroom Mission
It is the mission of this 5th grade class to prepare for middle school. Each of us will put forth our best efforts, everyday, as we set, work towards, and achieve our goals. We will meet the challenge of increasing responsibilities with focused attention and positive attitudes. We will each be cooperative, encouraging, and helpful classroom citizens. We will respect ourselves, our teachers, and our school in order to learn as much as we can, and then successfully apply what we have learned.
