Media Mission

We are here to learn reading skills and easily find and read a variety of books on our level. This is to help us learn and pass the EOG with excellence and go on to the next grade.  We have to cooperate and work as a team. We will show respect, responsibility and self-control. We will be quiet, listen, pay attention and follow rules and  directions.

Educational Background
 
I am a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a BS in Biology and an MS in Elementary Education.  I taught seven years of fourth grade and three years of high school science in the Asheville City, Buncombe County and Guilford County schools. In 1990 I received an MLS from UNC Greensboro. Since 1985 I have worked in a law library, a technical college library, a high school library and a public library. I was a media specialist in Greenville, South Carolina for two years before coming back to North Carolina. I got my National Boards for Professional Teaching Standards in Library Media in 2007.
 
I am married and my husband's name is John. We live in Mooresville. We are both from Asheville, NC and graduated from Lee H. Edwards High School. I have three younger brothers , one younger sister, three nieces, three nephews and one grand niece. I enjoy visiting my family. My favorite hobby is Creative Memories scrapbooking. I enjoy walking and swimming.
