We, the students of Ms. Slusher's class, will pass 3rd grade, ready for 4th grade.  We will learn our multiplication facts, become better readers, and learn how to write in cursive.  We will make friends and have fun.  We will do this by paying attention, working together, trying our best, coming to school everyday, and doing all class and home work.

 

My name is Amy Slusher.  I grew up in northern Indiana (and I do NOT miss the snow and cold!).  I graduated from Grace College, Winona Lake, Indiana, with a bachelor of science in elementary education.  My first teaching position was 5th/6th grade in Weslaco, Texas.  I then taught in Henderson, North Carolina.  This is my seventh year with Iredell-Statesville Schools.  I have taught for a total of 18 years.      

 

I am a huge Duke Blue Devils basketball fan.  I also like the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Cowboys.  I enjoy reading mystery novels.  I collect elephants, enjoy candles, and love chocolate.  I live in Statesville.  My daughter is currently a senior at Statesville High School.
