I'm sooooo excited to meet my kindergarten class of 2013!!!

Our Classroom Mission

In our class we want to learn how to read, write stories, do math, and explore science.  By not hurting our friends, listening to our teachers and friends, and trying our best we will be successful!

About Me

Welcome to our classroom!  My name is Stacy Passage.  I am 30 years old and have been teaching at Troutman Elementary for seven years. I really enjoy working with the students, families and staff at Troutman Elementary (TES).

I grew up in Northern New York as a young girl I always knew I wanted to become a teacher.  I began my journey at the age of 17.  I attended The State University of New York in Potsdam and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and Psychology.

I moved from New York to North Carolina about 12 years ago.  I worked in a transitional kindergarten 2 years before starting at TES.  I began at TES as a 4th grade teacher.  After teaching 4th graders for 1 year I decided I would try working with the younger children.  This will be my 6th year in kindergarten and I enjoy every year enormously.

I  have been married for 3years to my wonderful husband who I attended high school with.  We were truly blessed 2 years ago in  August with our first baby boy Jaxon Alexander.  He now consumes most of my time if I am not at school.   I love being a mommy as much as I love being a teacher.  When I am not at school, which many will tell you is not often, I love to be outside and jogging with Jaxon!!
