Class Mission Statement 2012-2013The mission of our 4th grade class is to learn the core curriculum. We want to pass the 4th grade, go to 5th grade, make friends, get prepared for college, and find a job. Together, we will get along, work cooperatively, listen, follow directions, and work hard. We will know how we are doing by our pdsa results, PA’s, class grades, smiley faces in our agenda, the number of tornadoes on the door, and our EOG scores. We want to be the best class in the Iredell Statesville School District. Strategic Goals in Reading and Math We will score at or above grade level on Reading and Math common assessments and Benchmark assessments. Class Norms Be respectful, Be responsible, and be safe Troutman Elementary Mission Troutman Elementary will work together to achieve high academic growth for every student through rigorous goals, continuous improvement, and collaboration with staff, community, and parents. About Me I attended the University of North Carolina in Charlotte where I received a BA degree in elementary education. I have been an educator for nineteen years and have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Most of my teaching experience has been in fourth grade which is my favorite one to teach. I am married and have one daughter in fifth grade at TES. We also have 2 cats and two dogs. Outside of school, I like to read, walk, fish, swim, and listen to music. I enjoy going to the beach as well as the mountains which makes North Carolina a great place to live. My passion in life is to teach. My reward is seeing all children succeed. I hope to make this year the most challenging and best school year ever for every student. Sincerely, Mrs. G. Ross
