I am very excited about teaching first grade, again! I love this grade, after my looping experience 3 years ago! I have taught kindergarten at Troutman Elementary School since 1998. I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. I also recieved my National Board of Teaching Certificate in 2008. I found this experience to be very educational and insightful as an educator. I love this community and the atmosphere that surrounds it. I grew up in Troutman and attended South Iredell High School, myself. I would recommend this area to others. I currently live in Troutman with my family. My son attends South Iredell and attended Troutman. This is a great school, supportive staff, and encouraging learning environment. I care about my students, and watching them learn, grow and be excited about becoming life long learners keeps me excited about "my job"! I hope your child enjoys "their job" this year as much as I do!
