I was born in Statesville. I attended local elementary and high schools.  I graduated from Lenoir Rhyne in 1997 with a Bachelors in Psychology and Sociology.  I worked as a Case Manager with Mental Health.  I returned to colleged in 2000 and earned a teaching certificate in Birth - Kindergarten.  I have been married for 12 years and have a five year old little girl.
