Our 3rd Grade Mission Statement
 
We come to school each day,
 To do more than hang out
With friends and play.
 
We're here to learn new things,
as soon as that tardy bell rings.
 
We will study our notes,
and practice each new "I Will,"
Until we've "mastered" every skill.
 
So please hear us as we "SHOUT"...

About Me
     This is my fifteenth year teaching elementary school.  I also worked as an administrative assistant at Brawley Middle School for two years, taking care of discipline and bus routes.  I had the opportunity to help develop an alternative classroom at Brawley Middle and was privileged to assist in the classroom during this pilot program. 
     I received my Bachelor’s Degree from UNC-Charlotte.  I also received a Masters Degree in Elementary Education through Gardner-Webb University.  I received my National Board Certification in 2003 and renewed this certification in 2012.
     I am married(34 yrs) to Danny Russ and we have five children (3 boys, 2 girls) and 10 grandchildren.  My grandchildren are 21(Taylor), 18(Kaitlyn), 10(Braxdon), 6(Emma), 6(Caleb), 5(Talon), 5(Christian), 3(Owen), 2(Zoey) and
1(Oaklen). We are currently expecting our 11th grandchild in July and we can't wait for baby girl "Ava" to arrive. They are the highlight of my life and visit “Camp Nonna” quite often. I am also the proud owner of a Bichon Frise named Tripp, and boy is he a trip! I am involved in my church choir and also direct our yearly Bible School.
