My Mission
 
My mission is to teach all students based on their individual needs.  It is my goal to provide different strategies and learning opportunities for all students to learn and be successful. 
 
Our Classroom Mission
 
We wil learn how to become better readers, solve math problems, write stories, be great spellers, and experiment in science.  We will work hard, have fun, and be ready for Second Grade.

Hello!  Welcome to my webpage.  This is my tenth year teaching and I have taught first and second grades.  I am a graduate of Appalachian State University with a Bachelors and Master's degrees in Elementary Education.  I have been married to my husband, Michael, for seven years and we have a dog, Cooper. 
In my spare time I enjoy trips to the mountains, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.  I am huge Appalachian State Mountaineers football fan and spend my fall Saturdays in the mountains of Boone!  Go APPS!   
 
I look forward to an awesome year of learning!
