About Me
This is my 11th year in the Iredell Statesville School System. I began working in the Prime Time After School & Summer Program at Lake Norman & Lakeshore Elementary Schools for several years. I then went on to work as a teacher assistant & bus driver at Monticello 3-5 Elementary School for 3 years. I made my way here to Shepherd Elementary where I have enjoyed teaching 3rd grade and coaching volleyball, softball, and basketball for our SCAA girls' teams in past years. Go EAGLES!
I love nature; therefore, a lot of my favorite things involve being outdoors. In my spare time, I enjoy camping, hiking, canoeing, bike riding, and going to the beach and mountains. Reading is also a hobby of mine. Some of my favorite authors include Ralph Waldo Emerson, Jane Austen, C.S. Lewis (the Narnia series), Lemony Snicket (A Series of Unfortunate Events), & Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games series).
Education
Associate in Science: Mitchell Community College, 2002
Bachelor of Science: Gardner-Webb University, 2006
Master of Arts: Gardner-Webb University, 2012
The students and families here at Shepherd are great to work with and I look forward to another great year!
