It is my goal to provide different teaching strategies to ensure that all of my students are learning according to their different personal learning styles. Our Classroom Mission This year in Kindergarten we will learn about reading, math, science, social studies, phonics and writing. We will follow our classroom rules and treat one another with respect, the way that we would want to be treated. We will have fun in our classroom while also learning everything that we need to know before going to the first grade.

Welcome to our class webpage! I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach kindergarten again this year at Shepherd Elementary. We are going to have an amazing year and learn everything that we need to know in order to be first graders next year! I completed my student teaching in the first grade here at Shepherd Elementary, and this is my third year teaching kindergarten. I received my undergraduate degree and Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My husband, Clay, and I were married in October 2010. We welcomed our first child, a daughter, Harper in July 2012. We also have a five year old black lab named CJ. I enjoy traveling, reading, hiking, Tar Heel Sports (Go Heels!) and spending time with my family and friends. I hope to meet each of you at some point during our school year, and please let me know if you ever have any questions or concerns. I am always here to help! I am very excited about the wonderful year of learning that we have ahead of us!
