Hello!  My name is Gwyn Hanson and I have been teaching in North Carolina for twelve years.  In 1998 I received a BA in Psychology and Sociology from UNC Charlotte.  After working in social services for a short time, I returned to UNCC and earned a K-6 Teaching Certificate.  I've taught dance, social studies, math, and language arts.   

 

I moved to the Charlotte area 23 years ago from El Cajon, California, a suburb of San Diego.  My husband's job brought me to beautiful North Carolina. 

 

My husband and I share a home with Madison, our JRT.  We do get an occasional visit from our 22 year old daughter, Jessica, who now lives in Florida.

 

My hobbies include:  swimming, planting flowers, reading, Boogie-boarding, and traveling.
