my family
 
     I grew up here in Iredell County, where I reside with my husband, Matthew, and three daughters, Haven, Addison, and Bella.  I graduated from Appalachian State University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  I received my Master's Degree in Reading from UNC-Charlotte.  I taught fourth grade in Catawba County for ten years, and then I was the Title I Reading teacher here at Sharon Elementary for three years.  This is my fourth year teaching fourth grade at Sharon, and I am excited about another fantastic year!  I love spending time with my family, traveling, being outdoors, and of course, reading a good book on my Kindle.
