My mission as the principal of Scotts Elementary School is to lead teachers and students to academic and 21st Century success and to work integrally to help move us to achieving school of distinction.

 

I began teaching at West Iredell High School as a CTE teacher (Business Education) in 1995.  In 2003, I received my National Board Certification and became department chair for the Business Department of WIHS.  In 2006, I stepped out of the classroom and served as the Lead Teacher for WIHS.  I also began working on my Masters of School Administration that year.  In 2007, my title changed from Lead Teacher to Instructional Facilitator and in January of 2008, I added Assistant Principal to my title.  In July of 2010 I became the principal of Scotts Elementary School.  I am extremely blessed to have this professional opportunity!  I love working with teachers, students, and staff at all levels.  I am proud and honored to be a part of such a great team of educators and wonderful group of friends, colleagues and students.

 

I am married to my wonderful husband Tim (28+ years).  Our children are Beth and Andrew.  They are both in college and are great kids!
