Classroom Mission Statement About Me The most important thing about me...is that I love children and enjoy teaching them! Long ago....:) I graduated from The University of Texas in El Paso with both a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in the Elementary School. Since then, I have taken many courses, some in computers, some in math, had a neat Science Class for a week in Boone, some classes at Scotts, and just learned a great deal from other teachers and parents and students. I have taught second grade, fourth grade and fifth grade. I have a daughter who graduated from Appalachian State University in 2008 and from Campbell University's Adrian Wiggins School of Law in May 2011. At home is my golden retriever Buttercup who helps me understand about unconditionel love! I attend Western Avenue Baptist Church where Skip Cartin is the pastor. Jesus Christ is my savior and I am in awe that God gave His Son so that a lowly person, such as myself, could be saved. I enjoy church, walking my dogs, reading books (alot), visiting my family in Michigan, and working in the yard.
