I am a native of Iredell County.  I was born in Long's Hospital which is now the 

site used by the county inspectors. 

     Many generations of Foxes have lived here in Iredell County going back to the 1700s.

     My education began at Avery Sherrill Elementary School in Statesville.  It was located on what is now Fifth Street Ministries.  My family of sisters and brothers have attended Cool Spring and North Iredell.

     I graduated with an Associate of Arts from Mitchell College.  Later, I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I received the Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education.  I did my Master of Arts work at Appalachian State University.  I have also earned a certification in Academically Gifted Education.

     I am married to Suzee Fox originally from Asheville.  We have been married for 23 years and have two children, Madalyn and Samuel.  Both children are currently in college.
