About Me
My name is Nancy Ann Korol Lee and I’m the 3rd-6th grade EC Resource Teacher at Coddle Creek Elementary School in Mooresville, North Carolina. I was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 13, 1957 and graduated from Michigan State University in June 1979 with a bachelor’s of art degree in Business Administration—Personnel. I also received my Master’s of Science in Management from Troy State University in 1983 and Masters of Arts--Teaching, Special Education in June 2009. I spent 26.5 years of my life as an officer in the United States Air Force and rose to the rank of Colonel. During those rewarding years, I met my husband Scott (also a retired USAF officer); we raised two sons; and we traveled/lived throughout the world.
I retired from the Air Force on January 1, 2006 and I’m now pursuing my second passion, being a Special Education school teacher. I’m currently certified to teach middle school mathematics, middle school language arts and special education (K-12; mathematics, language arts, science and social studies). I’ve always loved education and will always pursue opportunities to advance my personal education. My professional goals include receiving my national board certification next school year.
Our oldest son (Shaun, born in 1985) graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and is serving as a 1st Lieutenant in the USAF. He is an Intelligence Officer and is stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. His wife Katie is also a graduate of the USAFA and is currently studying to be a dentist at UCLA’s Dental School. Our youngest son (Stephen, born in 1990) graduated from Lake Norman High School in June 2009, is currently attending Mitchell Community College and he's employed at Red Robin in Mooresville, NC. My husband Scott retired from the USAF in July 1998 as a Lt Colonel and has been working as a Real Estate Agent in North Carolina since retirement. We live on Lake Norman and enjoy the relaxation of lake living. We also frequently travel to our villa on Hilton Head Island for relaxation at the beach.
