I was born in South Carolina and graduated from Chapman High School in Inman, S.C.. I graduated from Clemson University with a B.A. in Secondary Education in 2000. I have taught at Kennedy Middle School in Charlotte, N.C., South Iredell High School in Troutman, N.C., Westside High School in Anderson, S.C., and now I teach at Brawley Middle and Coddle Creek Elementary. 

I am married to my husband, Scott, and we live in Huntersville. We have a beautiful baby girl named Ella. She was born October of 2008.
