Our Classroom Mission
We are in Mrs. Reavis's class to be happy, learn to read, write, and to do math well so that we will be ready for 2nd grade! We will work hard, listen, follow directions, and do our BEST! By repecting ourselves, respecting others, and respecting our school we will be a happy "School of Fish"! :)
About Me
Hi! :) My name is Tammy Reavis. I am married to Keith Reavis and have one son, Kaleb. Keith and I have been married for twenty-five years and enjoy living in Mooresville. Kaleb is a sophomore at Wingate University! Life at the "Reavis" home is always busy and exciting! We love life and enjoy each day to the fullest! :) We enjoy spending time with family and friends. During the summer, we love our lazy days spent at the beach and active days hiking in the mountains. :) Our favorite spots are Cherry Grove Beach, SC and Flat Rock, NC. So far this year, we have enjoyed being Wingate parents and going to football games, choral concerts and band concerts! These groups keep us very happy and busy! :) I have just finished my 26th year of teaching in Iredell-Statesville Schools!
I am an "IREDELL NATIVE"! I was born in Iredell County and have lived here all of my life! I have been at Lakeshore Elementary since the origin of the school, 1999! :) All of my years at Lakeshore have been in first grade with the exception of the first year. During the first year, Lakeshore was being built and our school was housed in two separate locations---Brawley Middle and Pennisula Baptist Church. I was at Brawley Middle in a modular unit teaching third grade! Once our beautiful school was finished, I started teaching first grade again and have loved it ever since! :)
I have a BA in Education from Lenoir-Rhyne College and a Master's Degree from UNCC. I believe that I continually learn "something new" everyday! Learning is growing and I am still growing! :)
