Our mission is to learn how read, do math and become great writers. We will have a terrific school year by working together and sharing our ideas. We will make new friends. As good first grade citizens, we will be respectful, cooperative, and make good choices. We will always try to do our best work!
About Me
Just a little about myself...I have lived in Mooresville for 12 years. I have a wonderful husband and son. This is my 5th year teaching here at Lakeshore and my 14th year teaching overall. First grade is a such a fun grade to teach and students grow in so many ways during this year.
I love the outdoors so my class theme is a camping theme. When you come in my room you'll notice the outdoor colors of blue and green. You'll also notice "Camp Read Alot" where our tent is set up for reading. There are many other camping clues that you will find when visiting our room.
Growing up, I loved sports and played many. Today I still enjoy going to ballgames of all kinds. In my room, I like to reinforce various skills through games. Students love to play and forget they are actually learning during the process.
I always try to treat others like I would like to be treated...otherwise known as the Golden Rule. I encourage all students to treat each other with respect so that everyone can learn and grow.
Please check back to my webpage during the year. I will be updating it frequently.
