Hi!  Welcome to 5th grade.  I am excited about starting a new year with you.  5th grade is full of exciting adventures.  We will conquer many aspects of Math, Reading, Writing, Science, and Social Studies.  We will also take some awesome fieldtrips to connect our learning to the world around us.  Make sure you are reading as often as possible.  If you can develop a passion for learning, it will never cease to grow!
 
Our Classroom Mission

Our mission in fifth grade is to become independent learners while conquering our 5th grade curriculum.  We will create a passion for learning by being inquisitive, curious, and finding answers to our questions... that's the exciting part.  Understanding that our education impacts our future is only part of the goal.  Finding ways to answer the unknowns, that's the rest of the big picture!!  We want to be life-long learners.
 
About Me

I began my teaching career in 1997 and just love it!!  I am originally from Florida..  I have taught all grades from K-5 and have been lucky to teach 5th grade for quite some ti now.  I love: being outside enjoying nature, animals, reading, and most of all my family.  My husband and I are proud parents of  3 wonderful  children.  Our favorite places to go together are the mountains and to our children's sporting events!   Our kids definitely keep us on our toes and inspire me everyday to be the best I can be!  Now that you know a little bit about me, I look forward to learning about YOU this year!!
