Welcome to the computer lab!  I am looking forward to spending a great year with all of you.  We will work very hard but will also have a lot of fun.

 

To provide a safe environment that will foster authentic, engaging, creative, and independent learning for all students.

 

My name is Mr. Duncan and this is my sixth year teaching at Lakeshore Elementary School.   This is my first year as the technology teacher.   Previously, I taught 5th grade for the last 5 years at Lakeshore Elementary School.      Also,  I have taught 6th grade in an elementary setting in New York. 

 

I have called Mooresville home for the past 6 years.  I am originally from Canada with a short stop in New York.  Before teaching, I was a special agent in Canada. 

 

 I have a wonderful wife, two busy boys, and a very silly Golden Doodle. 

 

My hobbies are golfing, reading, and swimming with my boys.  I love to travel and have travelled all over the world.  My favorite sports teams are the Dallas Cowboys and the Montreal Canadians.

 

What I ask of my students is that they try their best and keep a positive attitude.  I believe that it is crucial to have an open door policy with the parents to ensure consistency for the students. 

 

This year, the students will learn computer safety, explore different ways to create a presentation, learn to type and use various softwares to stimulate learning.
