Welcome to Mrs. Walker's First Grade!  I CAN! I CAN! I CAN!

 

We will prepare for second grade by learning to read, write, do math at/above grade level.  We will follow our rules to help us to become better citizens.

 

I am a native of Iredell County.  I graduated from South Iredell High School.  I graduated from Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.  I received my Master's Degree from UNC Charlotte.  I have also attended Appalachian State University to keep abreast of changing educational trends.  I am married to George A. Walker, Jr. and we have two sons.  I enjoy teaching, traveling, and reading.  I also enjoy sports, especially basketball.  I love my church family, and we do lots of fun things together.
