My Classroom Mission Statement
Our mission as 4th grade math students is to learn what is required, pass the EOG, and prepare for the future.  We will do this by completing assignments, "focusing" in class, and listening to instruction. We will work together, respect everyone, and follow the rules to achieve our mission.

 

My name is Malinda Smith, and I am a fourth grade teacher here at Harmony. I am a native of this community. I attended Harmony Elementary and graduated from North Iredell High in 1979. I received both my Bachelor and Master degrees from Lenoir Rhyne. I taught at Cool Spring Elementary for 8 years and at East Iredell Middle for 4 1/2 years. I was a stay at home mom for almost 5 years before returning to teaching the past 9 years at Harmony.

 

I am married and have two children. Zack is a graduate of NIHS, NCSU Ag Institute, and Haywood Community College. He is now a wildlife enforcement officer in Hyde County, NC.  Anna is a freshman at North Iredell High School. My husband and I are active members of Clarksbury UMC.
