The speech students created the mission statement:

"We will learn to be better talkers and listeners.  We will practice our speech sounds, easy talking, opposites, categories, answering questions, following directions and defining new words.   We will try our best, listen to each other and practice our new speech skills in class and at home."

 

I have worked for Iredell-Statesville Schools for the past twelve years.  I have served the students at Harmony for the past eight years.  I have also worked at  a number of other schools in the county. I have returned every year to Harmony as I enjoy working with the students and the community.

 

As far as my experience int the area of Speech Pathologiy, I graduated from Columbia College in South Carolina, and earned my Master's Degree from the University of Georgia. I have worked in the schools, rehabilitation and hospital settings. My true love has been serving students in the school.

 

On a personal note, my husband and I moved to North Carolina twelve years ago to be closer to his family. I have two wonderful step-daughters and two delightful grandsons. One is a newborn and the other is beginning kindergarten- both exciting times for their family.
