My name is Angela Navey Burgess.  I grew up in Statesville and attended ISS throughout my K-12 education.  I graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a BS in Elementary Education and Religious Studies.  This is my third year teaching First Grade.  I taught dance and competition cheerleading for 8 years.

 

I am married to Brian Burgess and we have three boys and one girl.  I enjoy spending time with my family, ministering to others, watching my boys play ball, reading, and outdoor activities.

 

I am very excited about being apart of the dual immersion program this year!  After having a child involved in the program, I see that students can learn and benefit greatly from the dual language program!
