We will all work hard each day to make good choices at school. We will be kind, be safe, be cooperative, be respectful, and be peaceful. We will also learn to read, write, and be good problem solvers so we will be ready for second grade!
About Me

Welcome to first grade! This is my seventh year teaching first grade and I love it!! I grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and got my undergrad degree in Psychology from Roanoke College. I got married to Adam Lumley in 2005 in Las Vegas. I have 4 step-children. The oldest two (Aja and Aram) live on their own. Ashton is in 10th grade at Lake Norman High and Autumn is in 9th. I also have a step-grandchild. His name is Kane and Aram is his daddy. He was born on Wednesday, August 20th. He is amazing! I am the proud mom of 3 dogs and 1 cat- Lucky, Trixie, Buster and Mocha the Cat. Adam and I love to go to the beach and New York City. I am a huge Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan and I love Duke basketball, UVA football, the Mets and the Giants. I love to read and shop! I also enjoy listening to music. Chris Daughtry is my favorite! I listen to Maroon 5, Counting Crows, Avril Lavigne, Sheryl Crow and lots more. I am also a big fan of the Ace and TJ show.
